Visitors to our website

When someone visits www.thegatewayseaton.co.uk we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.

Automatic Collection of Information

When you make a booking direct with us, we will ask you to provide information specific to that order, including your billing address, shipping address, credit card information and email address. How we deal with online payments

Seaton Gateway Theatre ticketing system utilises a payment gateway provided by Stripe that provides a highly secure payment method process. You can learn more about Stripe by reading their privacy policy. No card or banking details are stored at any stage of the process on Seaton Gateway Theatres computer systems. When buying through our site, you can be sure that you are completely protected. Should you purchase tickets by phone or in person no details of your credit card are stored or kept by Seaton Gateway Theatre.

Signing up for our email circulation

Subscribing to email newsletters and other marketing communications is optional. You do not need to subscribe to marketing from us when you book tickets, donate or use any other of our services. If you do sign up for our e-newsletter we will use the details to keep you informed about The Gateway’s news, offers, events, activities and appeals. You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time.

Devices detected by our Wi-Fi service at Seaton Gateway Theatre

Wi-Fi access is available throughout The Gateway building via the wifi network. If you access The Gateways wifi network or if you have Wi-Fi enabled on your smartphone, tablet or another internet-enabled device, your device can still be detected by the Wi-Fi service. We will not link the anonymous device data with any other personal data that identifies you individually without your express permission. You are advised that the Internet is not a secure medium. The Gateway will use reasonable endeavors to keep your information confidential. Internal procedures cover the storage access and disclosure of your information. The Gateway will not sell or pass your information on to any third parties without first obtaining your consent. You are advised to log out after completing any online transactions.

Job and Volunteering Applicants

If you apply to work or volunteer at The Gateway, we will use the information you supply to us to process your application. Where we want to disclose information to a third party, for example where we want to take up a reference or obtain a ‘disclosure’ from Disclosure Scotland or the Disclosure and Barring Service, we will not do so without informing you beforehand. Personal information about unsuccessful candidates will be held for 12 months after the recruitment exercise has been completed, after which it will be destroyed unless you have asked us to destroy it earlier or allowed us to retain it for longer by written request.

Your rights

You have a number of rights in relation to your personal information under data protection law. In relation to most rights, we will ask you for information to confirm your identity and, where applicable, to help us search for your personal information.
